One of our co-founders lost a parent and watched their family stumble through probate without a will. The other had spent six years building fintech onboarding and couldn't believe how user-hostile the alternatives were. So we made a different one.
Our story, the short version.
When MoneyOwl announced they were sunsetting their free will service in March 2026, we knew thousands of Singaporeans would be left wondering what to do next. The market had two options: pay a lawyer S$400+, or wrestle with a sterile online form. Neither felt like coming home.
Raintree is the third option. The S$388 Simple Will plan bundles a Will and an LPA — both endorsed by our partner law firm, Balkenende, Chew & Chia — for less than half what a typical lawyer charges for the will alone. Warmer than a form. Honest about when you genuinely do need bespoke legal work, and ready to scale up via BC Law’s Trusts, Estate & Corporate Practice when you do.
We’re a small Singapore-based team. Our estate planners guide the conversation; Balkenende, Chew & Chia handle the endorsement, the witnessing, and the legal weight. We’re not VC-backed, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t lock you into a subscription you forget to cancel.
